FUNDAMENTAL PROVISIONS, THE OBJECTS OF THIS ACT

A
  1. Regulate the mental health care in a manner that makes the best possible mental health care, treatment and rehabilitation services available to the population equitably, efficiently and in the best interest of MHCU within the limit of available resources.
  2. Regulate access to and provide mental health care, treatment and rehabilitation.
  3. Clarify the rights and obligations of MHCU, and the obligations of mental health Care providers.
  4. Regulate the manner in which the property of persons with mental illness and person with severe or profound intellectually disability may be dealt with by a court of law.
