use of visual stimuli to communicate information or ideas (charts, infographics, tables, photograph, diagrams, sign language, tables)
non-verbal communication
any form of communication other than oral communication (email, video conference, mobile devices)
barriers to communication
high costs, technological issues, jargon, geographical location, internal politics, poor presentation skill, language proficiency, miscommunication, negative aura, psychological hindrance (eyesight/hearing problems)
consequences of poor communication
low morale where staff feel undervalued and out of touch, errors and mistakes due to employees not being told anything, lower productivity, marketing mistakes (high costs), lack of coordination and control
