Method of Measuring Flashcards
Pour into Measuring spoon held over a small bowl to catch excess
Vanilla
Pack firmly in a dry Measuring cup. Level off with a metal spatula
Brown Sugar
Pour into a liquid Measuring cup set on the counter. Check at eye level
Milk
Pack firmly into a dry Measuring cup. Level. Remove with rubber scraper
Margarine
Spoon lightly into a dry Measuring cup. Level of with a metal spatula
Flour
Pour into a liquid Measuring cup set of counter. Check eye level. Remove with a rubber scraper.
Molasses
Scoop into a dry Measuring cup. Level
Granulated (white) Sugar
Squash lumps. Dip in the Measuring spoon. Level off
Baking Soda
Beat with a fork. Measure out 30 mL with small Measuring spoons.
One- Half Egg
If in a stick form, cut lines on indicated. If not in stick form, pack into dry Measuring cup. Level: remove with a rubber scraper
Shortening
Pour into a dry Measuring cup. Level off with a metal spatula.
Icing Sugar
