Albert was shown:
-WHITE RAT
-RABBIT
-DOG
-MONKEY
-BURNING NEWSPAPER
-MASKS
-COTTON WOOL
BASELINE TESTING - LOUD SOUNDS
(ALBERT WAS DISTRACTED…)
Albert was distracted and a loud sound made by STRIKING A HAMMER ON A BAR OF STEEL was made behind him
this was repeated 3 times
11 MONTHS
(BASELINE TESTS WERE…)
BASELINE TESTS WERE RUN AGAIN
(animals, and loud noises)
Albert was calmed down (from loud noise) both times with BLOCK PLAY, procedure was used to calm him down after an EMOTIONAL UPSET
11 MONTHS 3 DAYS

When Albert would ATTEMPT to touch the rat, the bar (loud noise) WAS STRUCK
This was again repeated on his second attempt
11 MONTHS 10 DAYS

CER ESTABLISHED
Rat was SHOWN to Albert:
This was done 3 times WITH SOUND
RAT ALONE
2 trials WITH SOUND
RAT ALONE
11 MONTHS 15 DAYS
(RAT ALONE, BLOCK PLAY..)
Allowed block play
Rat was then pulled out:
Rat alone = FEAR
Block play
Rat alone = fear
This was repeated.
GENERALISATION - CER HAD GENERALISED TO SIMILAR OBJECTS (FURRY STUFF)
Albert was shown following STIMULUS:
RABBIT ALONE = FEAR
(block play)
DOG ALONE = FEAR
(block play)
FUR ALONE = FEAR
(block play)
COTTON WOOL = FEAR
(block play)
11 MONTHS 20 DAYS
(SHOWING STIMULUS)
Procedure of showing Albert animals was done with:
-RAT
-RABBIT
-DOG
They moved from LAB to LECTURE ROOM and repeated test
12 MONTHS 20 DAYS
(TESTING)
Albert did GENERAL TESTING, and DEVELOPMENTAL TESTS
12 MONTHS 21 DAYS
(SANTA CLAUS..)
Albert was shown a SANTA CLAUS MASK worn by Watson
Then was shown:
-FUR COAT
-RABBIT
-DOG
-RAT
