What was the Exodus?
The Exodus was the time period of Moses freeing the Hebrews from slavery of the Egyptians. It was also the time when Moses got the Ten Commandments.
Describe the Hebrew religion.
It was the world´s first monotheistic religion. It traces back to Abraham. Their religious books are the Torah and Talmud. They follow the Ten Commandments that were given by God to the Hebrew leader Moses. Modern day religion is called Judaism.
What did the Phoenicians need to do in order to make a living?
They needed to trade so they made sailboats and ships. They could farm because they lived by a coast. They had to trade across the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea to get grains. They got grains and they sold their purple dye.
Why is the alphabet an important Phoenician achievement?
It is the basis of our alphabet today.
