The Nile River provides fertile soil for its people. Limestone, gold and stone were found in the desert.

A series of rulers from the same family.

An Ancient Egyptian ruler.
Pyramid
A massive monumental tomb for a Pharaoh.
Mummy
The preserved body of a pharaoh or other powerful person in ancient Egypt.
What is the purpose of a pyramid?
To honor their pharaohs.
Why did they stop building the pyramids?
They were getting robbed too much.
Embalm
To preserve a body after death; the process of treating a body to prevent it from decaying.
Afterlife
Life believed to follow death.
How did the physical features affect the people?
The Nile River deposits silt that is good for farming. The deserts had good building materials. The river gave good transportation throughout the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The deserts also provided a great barrier from enimies trying to evade.
