A

For regular ER, IR and RE verbs, remove the nous and leave the nous form of the verb in the present tense on it’s own (ending in -ons)

Example:
Regardons - Let’s look
Choisissons une pizza - Let’s choose a pizza
Ne perdons pas de temps - Let’s not waste time

ne….personne - no one non, je n’attends personne
quelque chose - something vous faites quelque chose ce soir
ne….rien - nothing non, nous ne faisons rien

Note: the negative constructions are as follow:
ne + verb (+de, à, avec) + personne/rien
i.e. Je ne parle à personne

When personne and rien are the subject of a sentence, they come before the verb and the verb is preceded by n’

Example:
Personne n’est ici - no one is here
Rien n’est impossible - nothing is impossible

Rien and personne can stand alone

Qui est la? Personne!
Que fait- tu? Rien!

l’impératif - tu formation

A

With the regular ER, IR, and RE verbs, drop the ‘tu’ in the present tense to create a command. Also, drop the ‘s’ from the conjugated ER and aller verbs

Examples:
Achete le pain - buy the bread
Va à l'école - go to school
Finis tes devoirs - finish your homework
Rends le livre - give back the book
