Why did the British empire end?
-Britain loses money due to the world wars
-Australia, india and other colonies do not like the british

He sent a letter to the British government in India explaining he would be campaigning to get India independance.
Why did the British lose their colonies?
Britain no longer had the strength or money to keep control of the colonies.

They fighted in the war against the Nazi’s and thought it was hypocritical that they did yet not have freedom.

Because of countries who were generally poorer in the eu already.
