Define the term “mental health”:
the level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness.
Define the term “mental illness”:
a disease that causes mild to severe disturbances in
thought and/or behaviour, resulting in an inability to cope with life’s ordinary demands and routines.
Define the term “depression”:
a persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in
activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.
Define the term: “trauma”
a type of damage to the mind that occurs as a result of a distressing event.
Define the term: “grief”
a multifaceted response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or something that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed.
