ALERT ORDER
Condition: Used following an abnormality.
“ATTENTION! All passengers remain seated and await further instructions.”
Note:
NOTE: This PA notifies Cabin Crew of the existence of an emergency situation and pre-empts the possibility of an evacuation being carried out unnecessarily or prematurely. Should only be given on the ground when the aircraft has stopped or about to stop.
ALERT CANCELLATION
Condition: Used to CANCEL an ALERT order after applicable Emergency procedures have been successful and a SAFE environment restored.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for your cooperation. Remain seated. Cabin Crew resume normal duties.”
BRACE ORDER
Condition: Within 30 seconds of impact or onset of unprepared emergency.
“BRACE - BRACE - BRACE”
(or flashing Seat Belt sign).
DITCHING ORDER
Condition: Used for passenger disembarkation in the event of ditching to allow Cabin Crew time for the life raft launch and passenger preparation.
“ATTENTION! This is a ditching. Follow your crew member’s instructions.”
SEAT BELTS
“All passengers and Crew be seated and fasten seat belts.”
TURBULENCE
“All passengers and Crew be seated and fasten seat belts IMMEDIATELY.”
EMERGENCY DESCENT
“Attention Cabin Crew! Emergency descent”
