Memory Items [B767] Flashcards
How many QRH procedures start with memory items, and which procedures are they?
There are 6 required by Boeing + APU FIRE (ATI)
1 - ABORTED ENGINE START
2 - DUAL ENGINE FAILURE
3 - ENGINE LIMIT or SURGE STALL
4 - ENGINE FIRE or SEVERE DAMAGE or SEPARATION
5 - AIRSPEED UNRELIABLE
6 - CABIN ALTITUDE or RAPID DEPRESSURIZATION W/MCD WARNING
ABORTED ENGINE START
- FUEL CONTROL Switch (affected side) - CUTOFF
APU FIRE
- APU FIRE Switch - Confirm - PULL, rotate to stop, hold 1 sec.
DUAL ENGINE FAILURE
- ENG START Selectors (both) - FLT
- Thrust Levers (both) - Idle
- FUEL CONTROL Switches (both) - CUTOFF then RUN
IF engine appears stalled OR EGT approaches the Standby Engine Indicator placard limit: Repeat above step as needed.
ENGINE LIMIT OR SURGE STALL
- A/T ARM switch - OFF
- Thrust Lever (affected side) - Confirm -
Retard until indications remain within normal limits or the thrust lever is at Idle.
ENGINE FIRE OR ENGINE SEVERE DAMAGE OR SEPARATION
- A/T ARM Switch - OFF
- Thrust Lever (affected side) - Confirm - IDLE
- FUEL CONTROL Switch (affected side) - Confirm - CUTOFF
- Engine Fire Switch (affected side) - Confirm - PULL
IF the engine fire warning light stays illuminated:
Engine Fire Switch - Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 sec.
IF after 30 seconds the engine fire warning light stays illuminated:
Engine Fire Switch- Rotate to the other stop and hold for 1 sec.
AIRSPEED UNRELIABLE
- Autopilot (if engaged) - DISENGAGE
- Autothrottle (if engaged) - DISENGAGE
- F/D Switches (both) - OFF
- Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
Flaps extended - 10° and 75% (80%) N1
Flaps up - 4° and 75% N1
CABIN ALTITUDE or RAPID DEPRESSURIZATION W/ MCD WARNING
1 - Don the oxygen masks.
2 - Establish crew communications.
3 - If occupants in supernumerary compartment:
MN DK ALERT Switch . . . . . . . . . . . .USE OXY
4 - Check the cabin altitude and rate.
5 - If the cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher.
To descend:
- Move the thrust levers to idle
- Extend the speedbrakes
- If structural integrity is in doubt:
- limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads.
- Descend at VMO/MMO
Abort Start if:
- the EGT does not increase by 25 seconds after the fuel control switch ismoved to RUN
- there is no N1 rotation by 30 seconds after N2 is stabilized at idle
- the EGT quickly nears or exceeds the start limit
- the N2 is not at idle by 2 minutes after the fuel control switch is moved to RUN
- the oil pressure indication is not normal by the time that the engine is stabilized at idle
ENGINE LIMIT or SURGE or STALL
[CONDITIONS]: one or more of these occur
- Engine indications are abnormal
- Engine indications are rapidly approaching or exceeding limits
- Abnormal engine noises are heard, possibly with airframe vibration
- There is no response to thrust lever
- Flames in the engine inlet or exhaust are reported
