Rapid depressurisation
( PAX )

A

Don the Oxygen masks
Establish crew communication
Check the cabin altitude and rate
If cabin is uncontrollable
Pass Oxy Switch - Push and hold for 1 Sec
Emergency descent - Initiate
Thrust levers ( both ) - Idle
Speed brake - Up
If structural damage not suspected target speed MMO/ VMO
If structural damage is suspected remain at or less than current IAS limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads
Transponder - 7700
Descend to LSALT or 10000 whichever is higher

If occupants in main cargo compartment or Lavatory- Main Cargo Horn / Alert switch Push
Ensure all occupants return to flight deck
Check the cabin Altitude and rate
If cabin Altitude is uncontrollable
Emergency Descent - Initiate
Thrust levers both - Idle
Speedbrake- Up
If structural damage is not suspected target speed VMO / MMO
If structural damage is suspected remain at or less than current IAS limit airspeed and avoid high maneuvering loads
Transponder - 7700
Descend to LSALT or 10000ft whichever is higher

Aborted Engine Start

A

Fuel Control Switch … Cutoff
( affected side )

  • EGT does not rise 25 Sec after Fuel Control Switch is moved to run
  • There is no N1 rotation by 30 Sec after N2 is stabilized at idle
  • The EGT quickly nears or exceeds the start limit 750 Deg ( 870 Deg for 4 Sec )
  • The oil pressure indication is not Normal by the time the engine is at idle. Min 10Psi

Dual engine Failure

A
Engine start selectors ( both ) FLT
Thrust levers ( both ) IDLE
Fuel Control Switches ( both) 
           CUTOFF then RUN
If ENG appears stalled or EGT approaches the 
   max EGT limit 960 Deg of the standby ENG
   Indicator. 
Repeat above step as required

Not memory;
Consider starting the APU ASAP
Note : The inflight start EGT limit is 960 Deg

  • Engine indications are abnormal
  • Engine indications rapidly approach or
    exceed limits
  • Abnormal engine noises are heard with
    possible airframe vibration
  • No response to Thrust lever movement or
    the response is abnormal
  • Flames in the engine inlet or exhaust are
    reported

   Illuminated

If after 30 sec Engine Fire Warning light stays

  • SPD/ALT info not consistent with Pitch ATT and Thrust setting
  • Speed/ Airspeed/ Mach failure flags
  • Blank or fluctuating airspeed displays
  • Variation Between Captain and Copilot airspeed displays
  • Amber line through 1 or more ADI FMA modes
  • Overspeed indications
  • Radome damage or loss
  • Simultaneous overspeed and stall warnings

F/D Switches ( both )...OFF
Set the following Gear Up pitch ATT and Thrust

Flaps extended…10deg and 80% N1
Flaps Up ………….4deg and 75% N1
