LIMITATIONS Flashcards
FUEL TEMP
Max fuel temp 49 deg C
MIN Fuel TEMP - Fuel freezing point +3deg C
Use of fuel system icing inhibitors does not change the minimum fuel tank TEMP limit
Freezing points JET A -40 deg JET A1 -47deg JP5 -46deg JP8 -47deg These fuels are approved for use by ANA
Maximum number of passengers
290 including infants and shall not exceed the number for which seating accommodation
Fuel transfer and defueling
When transferring or defuelling Centre or main tanks low pressure lights must be monitored and fuel pump switches positioned to off at the first indication of Low Pressure.
Prior to transferring fuel or defuelling conduct a lamp test of the respective fuel pump low PRESS lights.
Flight manouvring limits
Flaps UP +2.5g to -1.0g
Flaps Down +2.0g to 0.0g
With flaps 25 and 30 positive limits vary linearly from +2.0g at max landing weight to +1.5g at max Takeoff weight
Minimum inflight weight
PAX 179000lb
300F 177300lb
300BCF 180400lb
Min inflight weight does not include usable fuel
Runway conditions when Takeoff and landing are not permitted
Water or slush 13mm deep or more
Wet snow of 51mm deep or more
Dry snow of 71mm deep or more Takeoff
Dry snow of 153mm deep or more Landing
When reported braking action is VERY POOR or NIL or measured coefficient of friction is 0.19 and below no Takeoff or landing is permitted.
All conditions above have to occur only in one of the 3 sections of runway for Takeoff and landing to be not allowed.
Max X wind limits
Dry (including damp) 33 kt
Wet grooved 25 kt
Wet ungrooved 20 kt
Flooded 10 kt
Ice or snow
GOOD 20 kt
MEDIUM to GOOD 20 kt (15kt )
MEDIUM 20 kt (15kt )
MEDIUM to POOR 15 kt (10kt)
POOR 10 kt
Bracket values are for LANDING only to runways less than 2500m
SLUSH 2mm or less 15kt
3~12mm 10kt
Fuel XFEED valve
Must be checked during the last hour of cruise flight in each ETOPS operation
Centre tank Fuel Pumps
Centre tank Fuel pump switches must not be on unless personnel are in the flight deck to monitor low pressure lights.
GROUND OPERATIONS
Prior to Engine start
The Centre tank Fuel pump switches must not be ON unless the Centre tank contains usable fuel.
With the Centre tank Fuel pump switches ON verify BOTH Centre tank Fuel pump LOW PRESS lights are ON and the EICAS CTR L FUEL PUMP and CTR R FUEL PUMP messages are displayed
After Engine start and Flight operations
Centre tank Fuel pump switch must be selected OFF when the respective CTR L FUEL PUMP or CTR R FUEL PUMP message displays
Both Centre tank Fuel pump switches must be selected OFF when either the CTR L FUEL PUMP or the CTR R FUEL PUMP message displays if the Centre tank is empty
During cruise Both Centre tank pump switches may be reselected ON whenever usable Centre tank Fuel is indicated.
CCT BKRS
Reset and cycle
CCT Breakers must not be cycled at any time unless on ground and advised or under supervision of maintenance personnel
CCT breakers can only be reset inflight if Captain judges that the CCT breaker trip has a significant adverse effect on safety. On ground only if advised to by or under supervision of maintenance personnel
Do not reset a tripped Fuel pump or fuel pump control CCT breaker.
Lateral Fuel Imbalance
1500lb at and above 79800lbs
2500lb at or below 48000lbs
Linear between the two
FUEL usage
Use Centre tank for all operations with all operable fuel pumps on and xFeed valve closed then use tank to Eng feed.
Use tank to engine fuel feed for Takeoff and landing by positioning all operable main tank boost pumps on and close the XFEED valve.
Intentional dry running of any Centre tank Fuel pump is prohibited
The XFEED valve is open for minimum fuel operations and may be opened to correct fuel imbalance.
