Engine overheat

A

1 Auto throttle(if engaged)……..disengage

2 Thrust lever (affected engine)………confirm……..close

  1. IF the ENG OVERHEAT light stays illuminated:

go to the ENGINE FIRE or engine severe damage or separation check list on pg 8.2

ENGINE FIRE or engine severe damage or separation

A
  1. auto throttle (if engaged) ………..disengage.
  2. Thrust lever (affected engine) …….confirm……close

3.Engine start lever(affected engine)…….confirm……cut off

  1. Engine fire switch(affected engine) ……confirm…..pull
     To manually unlock the engine fire switch, press the override & pull.

5.IF the engine fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT light is illuminated
Engine fire switch……rotate to
stop & hold for 1 second.

     IF after 30 seconds the engine 
     fire switch or ENG OVERHEAT
     light stays illuminated:

     Engine fire switch ......rotate to
     the other stop and hold for 1 second.

RUNAWAY STABILIZER

A
  1. control column……….Hold firmly
  2. Autopilot(if engaged)…………….disengage
  3. Auto throttle(if engaged)…………….disengage
  4. control column & thrust levers…………..control airplane
    pitch attitude &
    airspeed.
  5. main electric
    stabiliser trim……….reduce
    control column
    forces.

6.IF the runway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:

     Do not re engage the autopilot or auto throttle.

7.If the runway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:

          STAB TRIM cut out 
          switches (both)......CUTOUT

         IF the runway continues:
   
                 stabiliser trim
                 wheel.........grasp & hold

WARNING HORN (intermittent)
or
WARNING LIGHT - CABIN ALTITUDE
OR TAKEOFF CONFIGURATION

  1. If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a CABIN ALTITUDE light (if installed & operative) illuminates in flight at an airplane flight altitude above 10,000 feet MSL:
  • Don the oxygen masks and set the regulators to 100%.
  • Establish crew communications.

page 2.1

  1. If the intermittent warning horn sounds or a TAKEOFF CONFIG light (if installed and operative) illuminates on the ground when advancing the thrust levers to takeoff thrust:
  • Assure correct airplane takeoff
    configuration.

CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING
or
Rapid Depressurisation

A
  1. Don oxygen masks and set regulators to 100%
  2. Establish crew communications.
  3. pressurisation mode selector………………………..MAN
  4. Outflow VALVE switch…………………..Hold in CLOSE
    until the
    outflow VALVE
    indication shows
    fully closed
  5. IF cabin altitude is uncontrollable:
    passanger signs …………….ON
    PASS OXYGEN switch………ON> > > Go to the emergency
    descent checklist on page 0.1

EMERGENCY DESCENT

A
  1. Announce the emergency descent. The pilot flying will advise the cabin crew, on the PA system, of impending rapid descent. The pilot monitoring will advise ATC and obtain the area altimeter setting.

2.passenger signs……………ON

  1. Without delay, descend to the lowest safe altitude or 10,000 feet, whichever is higher.
  2. ENGINE START switches (both)…………………………..CONT
  3. Thrust levers(both)………….
    reduce
    thrust to minimum
    or as needed for
    anti ice.
  4. speedbrake……………FLIGHT
    DETENT

7.Set target speed to Mmo/Vmo.
