B through landing gear transfer unit. will do it at normal rate providing: - airborne - No 1 engine RPM drops below limit value - gear lever positioned up - either main gear is not up & locked.

can gear be normally retracted after a manual extension?

yes providing Hyd sys A px avaliable. - close manual extension door - move gear lever to down - move gear lever up.

will nose wheel steering deactivate at any point? what about depressurise?

yes when nose wheel strut extends yes when lockout pin is installed in towing lever. (allows pushback or towing without depressurising entire hyd system)

no, only mains Hyd sys B normal hyd sys A alternate (automatic) ``` normal sys ALT sys brake accumulator antiskid protection autobrake sys parking brake brake temp indication ```

Sys B if norm & ALT px lost? = trapped px in accumulator still enough for several applications or park brake application.

how is normal vs ALT anti skid sys different?

norm = on EACH main gear. individually. ALT = applied to wheel PAIRS.

when anti skid sys detects a skid, what happens?

Anti skid valve on relevant wheels reduces brake px until skidding stops.

what's Autobrake sys? powered by?

- provides max deceleration for rejected TO - auto braking immediately after touchdown hyd sys B

- AC in gnd - antiskid & auto brake sys operational - AUTO BRAKE select switch on RTO - wheel speed less than 60kts - fwd thrust levers to IDLE

on selecting RTO mode on Autobrake sys, what should you see?

AUTO BRAKE DISARM light illuminates for couple of seconds then goes out. = self test successful.

what will Autobrake RTO mode do? speed?

max braking applied automatically when thrust levers retarded to idle. only above 90kts. below = sys remains armed, AUTO BRAKE DISARM light remains out.

when is RTO mode auto disarmed? will disarm light come on?

when air/gnd sys sense air mode. no

how to reset or manually DISARM Autobrake sys?

put switch to OFF.

if landing made with RTO sys selected, what will happen?

nothing.No auto braking will happen. AUTOBRAKE DISARM light will come on 2 sec after touchdown.

parking brake powered by which sys? if there's a fault which light might you see? safety feature for take off?

A or B or accumulator ANTISKID INOP part of take off config warning sys. if either thrust lvr is advance for TO, light & horn will sound.
