post even discussion - when there’s more than one witness to an event , and these discuss what they have seen with each other or others . (gabbert et la)
leading questions - questions that will influence participants schema to give a desired answer( loftus and palmer )

AIM : To investigate the effect of ppts hearing a different words when asked about thier memory of a car crash
procedure :45 American students
ppts watched c lip of car crash and asked a question about the speed of car were travelling
5 conditions , hit smashed ,collided ,hit ., knocked , bumped
‘how fast they were they going when they hit ‘

findings :the estimated speed was affected by the verb used .
contacted =31.8mph
hit=34.0mph
bumped=38.1mph
collided=39.3mph
smashed=40.8mph
conclusions :the accuracy of ewt is affected by leading questions ewt may not be reliable .
