Why do you want to work at Frontier?
To me a it’s a truly life changing opportunity. I have the chance to gain amazing seniority fast (30% by 2029), but I also believe I am a great fit for the culture.
Furthermore, the bases are desirable for me now and in the future.
Finally, the business model works great under tough economic times, and the Airbus is fuel efficient and a great plane to fly.
Will you leave in 3 or 6 months for another company?
No, I would be throwing away precious seniority and all the things I mentioned before. I would be sacrificing quality of life, which is most important to me.
Describe the kind of pilot you are in one minute.
I would say I am a professional, safe, and responsible pilot who operates with integrity.
I’m always looking to better myself and be someone who my fellow crewmembers truly look forward to flying with.
I operate in accordance with company procedures, and make decisions methodically based on good judgment and analysis of the situation at hand.
What do you know about Frontier?
Originally formed in 1950 and operated until 1986 when Frontier was acquired by People Express.
8 years later Frontier reemerged and sought to capitalize on Continental’s drawback of Denver flying.
After filing for bankruptcy in 2008, Frontier was acquired by Republic Airways Holdings, until acquisition by Indigo Partners in 2013, with a focus on the ULCC model.
Currently Frontier is poised to grow almost 3 times by 2029, with Barry Biffle as the President and CEO, and is currently seeking a merger with Spirit.
Frontier’s original logo was designed by Saul Bass (AT&T Logo, Girl Scouts, etc) and the current logo incorporates it.

The customer does not have to compromise on safety or service to get a low price.

If I’m lucky enough to secure a position with Frontier, I will be contributing my perfect safety and attendance record, my perseverance when faced with challenges, and constant advocacy to make the company better in every way possible.

The projected growth translates to great seniority, not to mention the quality of life would be unparalleled with a PHX base and day trips. Desirable bases too looking into the future and potential moving to FL where my wife is from or ATL where my brother is moving to.
Wx radar is MEL’d. When can you fly?
When current weather reports indicate no thunderstorms or potential hazardous weather conditions exist along the route to be flown.
Define a stabilized approach?
The aircraft is on glideslope and course for the planned runway and landing configuration with all appropriate briefings and checklists complete by 500 feet AGL.
What do you need to land under IFR?
The aircraft is continuously in a position from which a descent to a landing on the intended runway’s touchdown zone can be made at a normal rate of descent using normal maneuvers.
Required flight visibility for the approach is met.
At least one of the following are distinctly visible:
• Threshold
- M or L
• Touchdown zone
- M or L
• Runway
- M or L

What would you do if the captain became unresponsive on takeoff?
I would immediately act according to the SOPs and phase of the takeoff.
