In what way did Bruning’s policies deepen the recession?
Industrial production fell, prices fell and exports fell by approximately 50%. Unemployment rose to its highest level ever in 1932.
Why did Von papen’s policies fail?
The government was caught up in political problems that made it hard to focus on the economy and produce a coherent policy.
Why was there severe shortages of food in the First World War?
Much of the food produced went to the front and Allied blockades of ports stopped supplies getting into Germany.
