Functions of Council Of Medical Technologist
- Recommend minimum required course
- Determine and prescribe number of students allowed
- Approve Medical Technology schools; recommend closure
- To acquire all Medical Technology schools to submit annual reports on or before the month of June
- Inspect MT schools to assure high standard of education
- Certify qualified MT interns and collect fees
- Formulate and recommend refresher course
- Promulgate, prescribe and implement rules and regulations
Minumum Required Course
4 years including a 12-month internship in an accredited laboratory
Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Medical Technology Education - 4-year program with an internship program of 6-months in an accredited training laboratory
