Acetaminophen
Tylenol Datril Anacin 3
4 times per day
Use of allergic to aspirin or for pts with bleeding problems or upset stomach to aspirin or NSAIDS
Aspirin
Every 4 hrs
NSAID
Aleve or Anaprox
Naproxen sodium
NSAID
Take with food to minimize upset stomach
Dolobid
Diflunisal
NSAID
Requires prescription
Celebrex
Celecoxib
Sulfa drug
Prolonged use may increase risk of CV events
Tylenol 3
Acetaminophen 300 mg; Codeine 30 mg
Narcotic
Not to be combined with otc acetaminophen containing products
Need consult if pt has liver disease
Vicodin
Hydrocodone 5 mg; Acetaminophen 500 mg
