A

Higher risk of abuse & no approved medical use in the U.S.
illegal & prov can’t prescribe them. Includes heroin, mescaline, LSD.
includes cannabis despite it being legal in several states with a medical card/ prescription

A

high potential for abuse , considered dangerous can lead to psychological and physical dependence. morphine, methadone, oxycodone, Hydromorphone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, Methamphetmine.
prov must provide a written prescription w no refills. keep in secured locked cabinets

moderate to low potential for physiological & physical dependence. ketamine, anabolic steroids, testosterone. prov must give a written prescription , may be refilled 5 times in 6 months

anti diarrheal, antitussive, analgesic purposes.
Diphenoxylate with atropine , pregabilin, lacosamide.
prov must sign prescription for substance, pt can refill 5x in 6m
staff can authorize refills over phone
