- Genre is understanding shared codes between producers and audience
- Genre always adapting, using hybridity/ambiguity
Baudrillard’s Postmodernism(hyperreality) theory
-Society is based on simulation using sign and images to represent reality
-Individuals construct their own reality & identity through simulation
-Hyperrealities don’t have bases in fact and aren’t real
-All media add to this effect

-LFTVD is built on narrative
- equilibrium distrubed then resoted in drama plot
-Equilibrium, disequilibrium, Resolution
-Useful in identifying values and ideologies suggestd by narrative

Binary bopposite present in media create contrasts that we can see in many media products until a balance is reached
