Differential Diagnosis
- a method of analysis of a patient’s history and physical examination to arrive at the correct diagnosis

Fistula
an abnormal connection between two body parts, such as an organ or blood vessel and another structure.
Fistulas are usually the result of an injury or surgery. Infection or inflammation can also cause a fistula to form
Equivocal
pertains to test result
means results cannot be interpreted as positive or negative because they are below the limit of detection
Morbidity
- the condition of suffering from a disease or medical condition
- the rate of disease in a population
Mortality
- death
- mortality rate is the number of deaths due to a disease divided by the total population
Comorbid/Comorbidity
- the simultaneous presence of two or more diseases or medical conditions in a patient

dependent or consequent on another disease
Bright’s disease is often secondary to scarlet fever
Demographics
Patient demographics include identifying information such as name, date of birth and address, along with insurance information
