What is the definition for accuracy ?
A measure of the closeness of agreement between an individual result and the acceptable value.
What is the definition of error ?
The difference between an individual measurement and the true value of the quantity being measured.
What is the definition for uncertainty ?
An estimate attached to a measurement which characterises the range of values within the set of true values it is said to lie.
How is percentage error calculated ?
(Maximum error / value of measurement) x100
What is the definition for precision ?
The closeness of agreement between independent measurements obtained under the same conditions. It depends only on the distribution of random errors and does not relate to the true value.
What is the definition for reliability ?
The opposite of uncertainty.
