What are your Measurement Level 2 examples?
Unit 2 Colliers Business Park
I used a tape measure to calculate the lettable area of a car parking bay. With the length and width, I multiplied them together to get the area and with that was able to compare the parking bay with other similar bays.
Unit 28 Manvers Business Park
I used a laser distance measurer to confirm the measurements of the unit, which I used to calculate its square footage, in order to perform a valuation for a new lease. I calculated the property’s Gross Internal Area which included the kitchenette and toilet. If the property wasn’t entirely square, I would have had to split it into multiple sections to then add all the areas together. Performing the measurements and calculations twice allowed me to verify my findings to a suitable degree of accuracy.
Unit 6f Boundary Court
I used a measuring wheel to measure the area of a garden in order to receive a quote for grass cutting.
How did you measure the car park space?
I used a tape measure to measure to NIA
This was just used as reference to say that the space fell within the standard size of 2.4m x 4.8m. I was then able to compare values of other stalls.
