Preparing for judgement

A

‘Whatever you did got the least of them you did for me’ (Matthew)
- parable of sheep and goats - reconciled through good deeds to others
Some believe God’s judgement is METAPHORICAL - tells us how to live our lives
- some believe the soul making theodicy - we will all develop into God’s likeness

Bringing about God’s kingdom

A

‘On Earth as it is in heaven’
‘Time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand’
- some believe this to be ESCHATOLOGICAL (Jesus will return at the end of time), some that WE SHOULD BRING HEAVEN TO EARTH, some that we should be motivated by a punishment or live a life of MYSTICISM

Orthodox - 40 days after there will be a judgement to see if they will wait for 2nd coming of Christ (general judgement)
