- They monitor patients’ NEWs score, will know the pt the best and whether they have changed and their trends in health to communicate to other MDT members

intubation and tracheostomy - can ensure pts stay in good positions and run through ACT or exercises once being taught

- can help diagnose respiratory conditions through XRs
- They work closely with the pulmonologist to develop an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for patients.

- provide pts advice on healthy eating habits to improve overall health after resp conditions
- helping patients manage their weight, which is important for reducing the risk of respiratory complications.
- They provide dietary advice, develop personalised meal plans or supplements for patients with respiratory conditions who may be malnourished Eg: COPD, CF

A
- may help pt manage the psychological impact of respiratory conditions.
- provide counseling and support to patients and their families to help them cope with the stress and anxiety that often accompanies respiratory conditions and may help reduce anxiety bouts of SOB
- They also work with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to respiratory care.
