Christians:
Against Euthanasia
Arguments are usually based on their beliefs that ‘God gives life, only God can take it away’
Therefore, no human being has the authority to take life of any innocent person even if the person wants to die

Hindu:
They say a doctor would not accept a patients request for Euthanasia since this will cause the soul and body to be separated at a unnatural time. Result will damage Karma of Doctor and patient
Some believe that Euthanasia cannot be allowed because it breaches the teaching of ahimsa (‘doing no harm’)
Helping to end a painful life of a person performing is a good deed

Islam:
Against Euthanasia
All human life is sacred because it’s given by Allah and he chooses how long each person will live
‘When their time comes, they cannot delay it for a single hour nor can they bring it forward by a single hour’

Judaism:
Jewish law and tradition regard human life as sacred and say that it is wrong for anyone to shorten a human life
‘One must struggle until the last breath of life’

Sikhism:
Have a high respect for life which they see as a gift from God
Against Euthanasia as they believe timing of birth and death should be left in God’s hands
