Direct proportion problem:
If two pencil cost 3 dollars, how many pencils can you buy with 9 dollars?

PARTITIVE PROPORTION
In a class of 40, the ratio of boys to girls is 3:5. How many are girls? How many are boys?
Answer: Girls are 25, boys are 15.
Solution:
3:5 so e add nimu sya 3+5= 8. There are 40 in a class so 40/8= 5.
Since sa question kay 3:5 man ang ratio, e multiply nato sya each sa 5. So 3x5= 15 (boys) and 5x5=25 (girls)
It means “Per hundred”

What are the two types of percent? Or conversion techniques?
• Percent to decimal
• Decimal to percent
We remove the percent symbol and move the decimal point TWO PLACES to the left. Example: 55% - 55 - .55
PERCENT TO DECIMAL
We move the decimal point TWO PLACES to the RIGHT and affix the percent symbol.
Ex. .34 - 34 - 34%
