As a fraction (1/2), using a colon (1:2) or using the word “TO” between two numbers.
What is a proportion?
A statement of equality beteween two or more ratios.
Example. 1:1 & 2:2
How do you convert a decimal as a percent?
(1)Multiply the decimal by 100 and add the percent sign % (2) Move the decimal point two places to the right and add the % singn (.10 to 10%)
What is the procedure for converting a fraction into percent?
Divide the numerator by the denominator then move the decimal point to the right and add the persent sign %.
What is the sum of a large positive number and a small negative number?
A samaller positive number.
What is the root of a number?
Is two or more equal smaller numbers when multiplied together equal the especified number.
What is a squared number or an example of a squared number?
Multiplied the number by itself (2x2=4; 4x4=16)
2^2; 2 to the power of 2
When using the powers of 10, how may 1,000,000 be defined?
10^6 (10 to the sixth power)
What is π (Pi) ?
3.1416, ratio of the circunference to the diameter of any circle.
