Why position pregnant patients L) lateral tilt?
To reduce aorta-caval compression and subsequent hypotension

Headache Cerebral irritability/agitation Visual disturbance Nausea/vomiting Heartburn/epigastric or abdo pain Hyper-reflexia Elevation of 20 above normal BP
What is the starting gestation for antepartum haemorrhage?
> 20 weeks
Mx for adequately perfused APH
L) lateral tilt position
Appropriate transport
Mx for altered perfusion APH
L) lateral tilt position
Appropriate transport with notification
N/saline
Pain management
Fluids for less than adequate perfusion APH
N/saline max 40ml/kg titrated to pt response
If consult unavailable repeat 20ml/kg
