What testing occurs during second trimester?
- Doppler blood flow

What testing occurs during third trimester?
- Non stress test
- Contraction stress test
What are the stages of labour?
1st: Cervix opens
2nd: Baby is born
3rd: Placenta is delivered
What does the Apgar score consist of?
- HR
- Resp effort
- Muscle tone
- Reflex irritability
- Colour
When is the Apgar score undertaken?
- 1 min& 5 min
What are babies given when they’re born?
Vitamin K
-Assist with clotting factors
Eye ointment
-Protect against chlamadya and gonorrhoea.
Where is the fundus measured?
-Top of uterus to pubis symbiosis
When does ovulation resume?
- For non-lactating mothers: 7-9 weeks
- Lactating: 6 months
What are signs of post partum infection?
- Fever over 38 in first 24 hours
- Fever maintained for 2 days within first 10 days
What are the post part blues?
- Generally lasts 10 days
- Tear-fullness
- Insomnia
- Lack of appetite
What is post partum depression?
-Extreme sadness, anxiety, insomnia ect
