Q

Explain the difference between a tricky limper and a straight forward limper.

And how do you exploit them.

A

Tricky Limper -

  • Limp with some portion of premium hands to trap.
  • Most limp/3-bet with only their best hands.
  • Most are only tricky from early positions because they have more people that can potentially raise them.

Exploit - by just limping back.

Straight Forward Limper -
- Usually have junky ranges that do not contain the best hands.

Exploit - by raising with a range similar to your initial preflop range. Exceptions: you can call more often with suited connectors, suited aces, small pairs

Q

What are some adjustments due to SPR?

A

The lower the SPR, the less polar the check/raising range typically is.

As the SPR goes down, you should be more willing to 3-bet the flop and get it
all-in immediately.

There is a large increase in 3-betting the flop at SPR’s < 1 if you were to call
the check/raise.

3bet the flop with premium hands that need protection + some draws, and
call with premium hands that need no protection and draws that don’t want
to stack off immediately.
