-Over 50 Manganese dependent enzymes have been identified and these include: catalase, peroxidase, super oxide dimutase, 5’ nucleotidase, R Nase and glucosyl- and glactosyl-transferase

Manganese toxicity occurs due to
inhalation of manganese dust, where minors are known to suffer from headaches, sterility, loss of appetite and speech difficulties. Excessive manganese have also been associated with psychological and neurological disturbances
