Maneuvers Flashcards
Slow Flight
Carb Heat On
RPM 1700
Raise nose while 3 notches of flaps to hold altitude
65 knots increase RPM 2000
(If pulling back and plane wants to descend add more power)
Power Off Stall
Simulating Descent
Carb Heat On
RPM 1700
Full flaps (nose up to maintain then pitch for 65)
Power idle
Pull back
At stall- push nose down (opposite rudder) and full power
1 flap back, positive rate 2nd flap, Positive rate last flap
Power On Stall
Simulating Take-Off
90-95 knots decrease to 1500 RPM
AT 60 knots 2300 RPM
Pull up to simulate take off
At stall push nose down, add full power
Landing
RPM 1700
Downwind:
Maintain altitude
Hold 80 knots 90 mph
Flaps 1
Start descent
Base:
75 knots 80 mph
Flaps 2
Final:
70 knots 75 mph
Flaps 3
65 knots
Head to second center lines (1K ft of runway) then idle power and pull back to round out flare and touchdown
