Q

Where is bile made and what is it used for

A

Where bile is made in the liver and stored in gall bladder this is released in duodenum where it neutralises the acid from the stomach. Bile also breaks fat into small droplets so that the fat can be digested by the enzyme lipase

Q

What is inside the villi

A

Micro villi line the villi wall to furthermore increase the surface area got absorption. The blood capillary is there to hold the food and digest amino acids and glucose. The lacteal is there to absorb fatty acids and glycerol

Q

Assimilation

A

Assimilation occurs when food substances, absorbed from the digestive system, becomes part living tissue.during absorption small molecules move from digestive system to circulatory system. During assimilation the small molecules move into the body cells where they build new organic molecules
