16
Q

How do enzymes work

A

Enzymes are specific and have to have the right active site, shape and size like a key hole. Enzymes have to work at a specific temp and PH

17
Q

Amylase works best at a temperature and PH of

A

PH 7 and and as in mouth temperature around 37

18
Q

Pepsin works best in a PH of

A

1or2 so found in stomach where acidic

19
Q

Lipase works best in PH of

A

7-8

20
Q

What is bile

A

Bile is not an enzyme. Bile is produced by the gall bladder, it emulsifies globules( break down big globules if fat to smaller globules. This increases the surface area for digesting enzymes to work on.
