produce a fluid (alkaline) that contians a buffer to protect sperm from acidic environment of vagina
Prostate gland
produce a mucus- rich fluid prior to ejaculation that protects sperm from acidic environment of urethra
Cowper’s (bulbourethral) gland
channel through the penis that allows the passage of urine, sperm and semen
urethra
sperm + fluid from seminal vesicles, prostate and Cowper’s gland. Three to four mililiters of __ contain about 400,000,000 sperm cells
