Condition in which no spermatozoa are present, not any semen formed or ejaculated.
Aspermia
Condition of no living sperm in the semen. This may be a desired condition, such as when it follows a vasectomy
Azoospermia
Inflammation of the glans penis
Balanitis
Abnormal enlargement of the prostate gland surrounding the urethra, leading to difficulty with urination. Also known as benign prostatic hypertrophy.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Inflammation of the epididymis, usually as a result of an ascending infection through the genitourinary (GU) tract.
Epididymitis
Inability to achieve or sustain a penile erection for sexual intercourse. Also known as impotence
Erectile dysfunction (ED)
Enlargement of either unilateral or bilateral breast tissue in the male. The gynec/o is reference to the appearance of the breast, not to a female.
Gynecomastia
Accumulation of fluid in the tunica vaginalis testis.
Hydrocele
Condition of temporary or permanent deficiency of sperm in the seminal fluid; related to azoospermia
Oligospermia
Inflammation of one or both of the testicles; may or may not be associated with the mumps virus. Also known as testitis.
Orchitis
An abnormally prolonged erection.
Priapism
Inflammation of the prostate gland.
Prostatitis
Twisting of a testicle on it’s spermatic cord, usually caused by trauma. May lead to ischemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion
Abnormal dilation of the veins of the spermatic cord; can lead to infertility
Varicocele
Inflammation of a seminal vesicle, usually associated with prostatitis.
