What muscles make up the pelvic floor?
A
Formed by coccygeneus and levator ani muscles
Leavtor ani divided into:
- Iliococcygeus (supplied by direct branches from S3,4)
- Tubo-coccygeus which is subdivided into pubo-rectalis (posteriorly) or vagianlis, prostaticus or urethracalis (also supplied by direct branches from S3 and 4)

Why is pelvic bowl important?
A
For support of viscera and maintenance of urinary and faecal continence, weakness may cause incontinence and prolapse

Deep pouch
A
Or urogenital diaphragm
Essentially the external urethral sphincter and deep transverse perineal muscles withthe urethra and vagina passing through

Superficial pouch
A
Contains genitalia with associated myscles - penis and scrotum, clitoris, labia minora and majora forming vulva and vaginal vestibule

Spermatic cord contents
A
- Testicular vessels - artery and pampiniform plexus of veins
- Artery to vas deferens
- Cremasteric artery and vein
- Vas deferens
- Lymph from testes
- Closed remnant of processus vaginalis
- genital branch of genitofemoral nerve (supplies cremaster muscle)
- Symp efferents and afferents to and from the testis
- Ilio-inguinal nerve
