What are the 6 steps to take when you observe inmate misconduct
- Positively identify inmate
- Get house and cell assignment
- Discuss the rules violation with inmate
- Ensure understanding of violation
- Validate inmate reason
- Document violation
Responsibility of investigative employee in relation to the inmate disciplinary process
- Interview the charged inmate
- Gather information
- Question all staff and inmates who may have relevant information.
- Screen prospective witness, submit a written report to the senior hearing officer or disciplinary committee chairperson, to include witness statements and a summary of the information collected specific to the violation charged

Types of information inmates/parolees must provide on cdcr form 22 before submitting it to staff
Name, cdc number, signature, housing/ bed number, assignment, work hours, topic.
Inmate must provide all identifying information on form 22 and clearly state the service or item requested or reason for interview.
How many working days responding staff have to note their action, after the reciept of a completed CDCR form 22

Identified to whom the inmates/parolee may resubmit the CDCR form 22 is dissatisfied with Staff response
They must resubmit it to the responders supervisor for review.
The inmate/parole he will fill out section C sign and date it. They will retain a copy for their records and give the original white CD CR form 22 to the responders supervisor they have seven days to respond back.
Only in the absence of stuff supervisor me the inmates parolees submit the CDCR form 22 to an alternate supervisor who is able to respond to the issue in question
What are the four critical safety rules regarding CDCR fire arms conduct.
- Treat all weapons as if they are loaded
- Never point a fire alarm at anyone unless you’re willing to shoot that person or anything you are not willing to destroy
- never place your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire
- Always be sure of the target and what is beyond it before firing the firearm

The regulations for in my accounts and movements are contained in the DOM sections 52020.1 through 5 2020.7 the DOM provides procedures to:
Conduct, control, account for, and report inmate movement

You will identify the requirements for completing a count slip.
The count slip must be:
Written in black or blue ink, accurate, error-free; if you make a mistake shred it and make a new one, legible
Document: the count commenced, actual number of inmates counted, location or area where the count was conducted, printed name and signature of count officer
