A
when patients own inhaler fails
or
expiratory wheeze
- most likely going to be a wheeze so first line of treatment would be a neb.

when should ipatropium bromide be given?
A
if salbutamol is not having the desired effect/ patient is not improving.

WHEN SHOULD HYDROCORISONE BE GIVEN AND HOW MUCH?
A
TO TREATE SEVERE OR LIFE THREATENIG ASTHMA.
1ML TO BE GIVEN - HOWEVER TAKES ABOUT 30 MINUTES TO HAVE ANY EFFECT.
GIVE IF NEB/IPATROPIUM BROMIDE DOES NOT WORK

WHEN SHOULD PREDISOLONE BE GIVEN?
A
TREAT MODERATE TO SEVERE ASTHMA.
HOWEVER DO NOT DELAY CONVEYANCE TO GIVE THE TREATMENT.
