- Odysseus is offered immortality to stay on the island but declines, longing for home

- Odysseus enter’s Polyphemus’s cave
- Odysseus tells Polyphemus his name is nohbody
- They get Polyphemus drunk and stab him, blinding him
-Polyphemus prays to his father poseidon to curse Odysseus and not allow him home.

- Hermes gives Odysseus a plant called moly which makes him immune to circe’s magic
-His men are turned into pigs
-Circe releases the men and tells them they must visit the land of the dead
