Liquid makes up 55% of blood. Mainly water but also contains salt and enzymes. Carries blood cells and platelets around the body.

Carries oxygen from lungs to cells within the body. Contains hemoglobin, a protein that helps to pick up the oxygen.

Helps to fight infection and disease.

Help to form blood clots to stop bleeding.
