Cornonary pulmonary Flashcards
differentiate between coronary pulmonary and systematic circulation
coronary circulation dedication
Coronary circulation is dedicate circuit within the systematic circulation that solely serves the myocardium (heart muscles).
coronary circulation function
Coronary circulation delivers oxygenated blood to the MYOCARDIUM (heart muscles)
coronary circulation pathway
Blood flows from the aorta through coronary arteries, then returns to the heart via coronary veins.
Pulmonary circulation
pulmonary circulation Carries blood between the heart and lungs for gas exchange.
Pulmonary pathway
Blood flows from the right ventricle through pulmonary arteries to the lungs, then returns via pulmonary veins to the left atrium.
Systematic circulation
Carries oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body and returns deoxygenated blood back.
Systematic pathway
Blood flows from the left ventricle through the aorta to the body tissue, then returns through veins to the right atrium.
