On North and South headings, on northerly headings it lags, on southerly headings it leads

Roughly the same. In the USA it’s between 30 - 35 degrees lead/lag

Approaching and right at E/W headings

North Opposite South Exaggerated
Where is acceleration/deceleration error greatest? How does it display on the compass?
On E/W headings / On acceleration, turns to the north and on deceleration, turns to the south
How does ANDS help remember acceleration/deceleration error?
Acceleration North Deceleration South
Where is there no acceleration/deceleration error?
At N/S headings
How often should the heading indicator be reset to the magnetic compass?
Every 15 minutes
