Reject earthly life and
dedicate oneself towards
self-denying pursuit.
RIGHT INSIGHTS
Abstain or refrain from
using wrong words that
are abusive, divisive or
idle chatter.
RIGHT SPEECH
One must guide
ones action to avoid
harming others and
ourselves.
RIGHT ACTION
Refrain from indulging
professions that cause
harm to life.
RIGHT LIVELIHOOD
Cultivate enthusiasm
and positive thoughts
leaving behind anger
and jealousy
RIGHT EFFORT
Give thorough
attention to all that
one does.
RIGHT MINDFULNESS
The centering of
consciousness
towards the right
thing.
RIGHT CONCENTRATION
The realization
about the truth on
the meaning of life.
RIGHT UNDERSTANDING
Metta, it leads to
the meditative state
by being a counter
to ill-will
LOVING KINDNESS
Karuna, it purifies
ones mind to avoid
evil-induced
consequences.
COMPASSION
Mudita, is a pure
joy unadulterated
by self interest.
SYMPATHETIC JOY
Upekkha, it is a
pure mental state
cultivated towards
Nirvana
EQUANIMITY
3 LEVELS OF EXISTENCE
MERE BEING, LIVING BEING, RATIONAL BEING
It is something
pure and simple
nothing more
nothing less.
MERE BEING
Those that display the
key characteristics of
life.
LIVING BEING
Entities that
operate according
to logic or reason.
RATIONAL BEING
It should be
directed to the
soul itself.
INWARD MANNER
Man have the
unique power to
change themselves
for the better.
AQUINA’S VIEW
Through our
spirituality we
