What disorder is depicted in the image? How is this caused?
A
Primative streak ends/closes early. This causes inadequate mesoderm production in caudal portion of the embryo. Causes - lower limb hypoplasia, fusion of limbs, vertebral anomalies, renal agenesis, imperforate anus, genital anomalies

What is the pathology depicted? How is it caused?
A
Sacrococcygeal teratoma - caused by failure of the primitive streak to regress at the end of week 4. There is a good prognosis as it results in a benign tumor.
