What causes painless lymphadenopathy?
Painless LAD can be seen with chronic inflammation (chronic lymphadenopathy), metastatic carcinoma or lymphoma.
What causes painful lymphadenopathy? Where is it usually seen?
Seen in lymph nodes that are draining a region of acute infection (acute lymphadenitis).
Which region in the lymph node has follicular hyperplasia and what diseases is it seen in?
B cell region seen with rheumatoid arthritis and early stages of HIV infection.
Which region in the lymph node has para cortex hyperplasia and what diseases is it seen in?
T cell region and is seen with viral infections such as mononucleosis.
When do you see hyperplasia of sinus histiocytes?
Seen in lymph nodes that are draining a tissue with cancer
