what are the causes of lymphadenopathy?
A
local:
acute infection - tonsillitis, otitis externa
chronic infection - TB
neoplastic - spread from head + neck
distant spread - lung, breast, bronchus, upper GI
generalised:
acute infection - infectious mononucleosis
chronic infection - TB, HIV, syphilis
neoplasms - primary, secondary carcinoma
non/hodgkin’s lymphoma
CLL
rubella - well child with a rash
